Celebrating Success on a Chilly Autumn Day
The recent event featuring Chris Kay’s talk on Walter Kay, the first person to visit the Cape by land, sea, and air, was a great success. Despite the chilly autumn weather, the gathering enjoyed an excellent turnout, with guests treated to a plentiful supply of cake, coffee, and tea that created a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Attendees were especially impressed by Chris’ attention to detail and engaging delivery, with many commenting on the enhanced quality of the overall talk.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the dedicated team of ladies who organised the refreshments — their efforts were greatly appreciated by all.
Overall, the event was a resounding success, reflecting a strong sense of community spirit and recognising the hard work and commitment shown by Chris and the organising team.
